Lisa Griffin lived with her husband Stuart James Griffin in the Abbeydale area of Sheffield. They have one child, Karen, 3.
She worked three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) from 10.00 to 3.00, at the offices of a local solicitor (see file for details). Her routine was regular. She took her daughter to nursery school every morning at 9.30 and collected her at 3.30. She visited her parents regularly, usually on alternate Sundays. The visit prior to her abduction and murder was out of sequence as her father had been ill and had returned home from hospital the previous day. The visit would, however, have been easy to predict by anyone who knew the family.
There is no evidence that there were problems in the marriage. The couple had recently bought the house they were then living in, and had worked on renovating it. According to the husband, the couple were planning to have another child.
